New Free Test Site in Enumclaw

Starting Thursday, December 10, communities in southeast King County will have a new option for COVID-19 testing at a free testing site in Enumclaw. The testing site is open to anyone, regardless of insurance or immigration status.

Recent rates of COVID-19 and hospitalizations are higher in Enumclaw compared to King County as a whole. While rates and hospitalizations are higher, the number of people getting tested for COVID-19 is lower than in other parts of King County. This site will help close the gap in access to testing, particularly to reach people in more rural areas that otherwise would have to commute long distances to access testing including in Black Diamond, Bonney Lake and Lake Tapps areas.

If you have COVID-like symptoms or have had close contact with someone with COVID-19, Public Health – Seattle & King County urges you to avoid contact with others and get tested immediately. Stay home and away from others while you are waiting for test results.

The new test site is located at 1512 Wells St., Enumclaw. The site is located across the street from the Enumclaw Municipal Building in the Mutual of Enumclaw parking lot. Entry to the testing site is on Wells St. The site provides drive-through testing. Walk-up testing is also available.

The test site will be open Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 10:30 AM – 6:30 PM beginning Thursday, December 10.

People are encouraged, but not required, to register for a testing appointment. Visit this link for scheduling and registration. Visit www.kingcounty.gov/covid/sites to see information on all free testing sites.

The testing site will be operated by Discovery Health with support from King County. Mutual of Enumclaw has donated the space for the testing site.

Clients will not be charged for testing. Bring your insurance card and driver’s license if you have them. No one will be turned away if they do not have insurance or a driver’s license. Language interpretation available.
