Outbreak Responders: a Public Health comic strip

For National Public Health Week (April 3-9th), we’re celebrating by featuring unsung public health heroes who make our communities safer and healthier. Each day, we’ll highlight public health workers through their own words, sharing their work and why they’re committed to serving our community.

Today we’re featuring our Communicable Disease Epidemiology & Immunizations unit. I’ve been working with this team steadily over the past year on a large number of outbreaks. Legionella, influenza, E. coli, measles…ah, memories. Every day they show up with a phenomenal work ethic, passion, and top-notch professionalism. Happy Public Health Week to this amazing team!
